There is just over a month left until the end of this year and we are already learning about some more commemorative 2 euro coins that will be issued in 2024, such as one of the ones that will be issued in Finland and that I will present to you today, or the coin Spanish for the 200th anniversary of the National Police, of which since last week you have the official image of the coin here .
Returning to the Finnish currency, say that it will be issued under the name "Elections and Democracy" during the spring of 2024 and with an issue volume of 400,000 pieces. By the way, the collection of commemorative 2 euro coins already exceeds 500 different coins.
The design of the coin shows electoral ballots in a stylized way. These ballots are made up of circles and rectangles. The theme is abstract, but recognizable. There are eight slips that partially overlap the surface of the coin, creating smaller geometric shapes at their intersections. The year 2024 appears in the bottom center of the coin. The inscription that identifies the issuing state "FI", together with the mint mark, is located on the right side. The legend VAL ◊ DEMOKRATI appears on the left side and on the right VAALIT ◊ DEMOKRATIA (ELECTIONS AND DEMOCRACY, in the two official languages of Finland, Finnish and Swedish).
