Whether you collect them regularly or not, it seems to me that these coins should not be missing from your collections. I want to warn you well in advance, since they will be sold out soon once they are issued, and their prices can become quite expensive in a very short time. There are only 5,000 coins of each one that are issued and the demand at a European level for this type of pieces has been rising a lot in recent years.I am referring to the two national commemorative 2-euro coins issued in Spain this year, in their Proof qualities, the highest minting quality, which will be issued and put up for sale on Monday, April 18. I remind you that these coins in their "current" quality were put into circulation on March 23.
In 2010, the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre started a series of commemorative 2-euro coins dedicated to the Spanish places included in the UNESCO World Heritage list . The first twelve coins were dedicated to the historic center of Córdoba (1), to the Alhambra, the Generalife and the Albaicín of Granada (2), to the Cathedral of Burgos (3), to the Monastery of El Escorial (4), to the «Works of Gaudí» (5), to the Altamira Cave (6), to the Segovia Aqueduct (7), to the Church of Santa María del Naranco (8), to the Old City of Santiago de Compostela (9) to the Old City of Ávila with its churches outside the walls (10), the Mudéjar architecture of Aragón (11) and the Old City of Toledo (12).
For this year 2022 it is dedicated to the Garajonay National Park, located on the island of La Gomera. It was declared a World Heritage Site in 1986. With an area of 40 km2, the National Park includes the huge rocks that are found throughout the island. These are ancient volcanoes whose shapes have been carved by erosion. Many of the
flora and fauna species are endemic. The park has been recognized as an Important Bird Area (IBA).
On the obverse, the Roque de Agando and a detail of the
laurel forest are reproduced. In the upper right part, in capital letters and in a circular direction, the legend
SPAIN and the year of minting 2022; below, the mint mark. Surrounding all the motifs and legends, in the outer circular area of the coin, the twelve stars of the European Union appear.
On the edge of the coin is the inscription: "2 * *" repeated six times and oriented alternately from bottom to top and top to bottom.
The issue volume is 1,000,000 pieces that will be issued during the first quarter of 2022.

V Centenary of the first Around the World
The FNMT commemorates the 5th centenary of the arrival in Spain of the Nao Victoria in September 1522, led by the navigator Juan Sebastián de Elcano, with only 18 crew members, after completing the first circumnavigation of the world. His arrival marked the end of the expedition that, promoted by the Castilian crown, left in September 1519 in search of the Spice Islands in the confines of the demarcation of the Treaty of Tordesillas, under the command of Fernando de Magallanes, with 5 ships and about 250 crew members.
On the obverse, in the center of the coin and on a background of a terrestrial globe, the image of Juan Sebastián Elcano is reproduced, taken from the portrait that is preserved in the Naval Museum of Madrid, on which they appear, in its lower part and in capital letters, the legends 1519 1522, JUAN SEBASTIÁN ELCANO and PRIMUS CIRCUMDEDISTI ME.

As I said at the beginning, be careful with these coins, their price is going to skyrocket, especially that of the V Centenary of the Tour of the World.
