On March 2, I gave you the reason for the first of the two commemorative 2-euro coins that Andorra will issue this year. "XXVII Iberoamerican Summit Andorra 2020". This currency was to be officially presented by the Andorran government during the first fortnight of last March, but due to the Covid-19 crisis, it was postponed without a date. Today I show you a sketch of the coin that is expected to be issued during the second half of the year, with an issue volume of 73,500 pieces.

The coin motif shows a tree made up of human silhouettes and serrated discs. Human silhouettes symbolize the integration of society, culture and education to make a sustainable future a reality. The jagged discs symbolize the energy of movement among the ideas and proposals of the Summit participants.
Near the tree you can see the logo of the XXVII Summit. At its top, three triangles represent the colors of the Andorran flag. At its bottom, six triangles represent Andorra's openness towards the Sustainable Development Goals. Surrounding the motif, you can read the inscription "XXVII CIMERA IBEROAMERICANA ANDORRA 2020" (XXVII Iberoamerican Summit Andorra 2020).
The twelve stars of the European flag appear on the circular crown of the coin.
