To celebrate 100 years of humanitarian service by International Lions Clubs, the US Mint issues a one-dollar, exquisite design coin and limited edition as a tribute to this worldwide organization. A service that has more than 46,000 clubs and 1.5 million active members distributed in 206 countries.
The reverse represents a male lion and a female with a lion cub superimposed on a globe. The inscriptions are "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "$ 1", "E Pluribus Unum" (Latin phrase, one of the first national slogans of the United States, meaning "Of many, one" or "Unity in Diversity "), And" CELEBRATING 100 YEARS OF SERVICE ".
