The Bank of Ukraine issued last May 25 a coin of 5 Hryven allusive to the first horse-drawn streetcars. The first construction projects of railway transport on the streets of Ukraine, at a time of rapid technological progress, dating from the second half of the nineteenth century, first in Lviv and then in Kiev.
Reverse: a street in the city of Lviv where a tram pulled by horses appears shown, and words in Ukrainian "Horse Tram".
Obverse: up one small State Emblem of Ukraine on the same inscription UKRAINE, under the year of issue 2016 and face value, plus a stylized composition comprising: a horseshoe where the city appears in the middle of it Kiev; the logo of the National Bank of Ukraine is shown in the lower left.
