The denomination (two thousand hryven) written in Ukrainian at upper back initially used a font that resembled a Cyrillic version of the Bickham Script font created by Russian artist Alexandra Gofmann (B872a). The National Bank of Ukraine deemed it unnacceptable to feature the work of a citizen of an aggressor state and switched to the original Bickham Script font without Gofmann’s custom variations (B872b).
