Today, Monday, March 4, the Spanish coin dedicated to the 2024 Football Euro Cup has been issued. It is a silver coin with a face value of 10 euros and colored elements that has a circulation limited to a maximum of 6,000 pieces.

UEFA invited the Royal Mint and Stamp Factory to participate in the official collector coin program for the UEFA European Football Championship.

UEFA EURO 2024 Football Championship

The UEFA EURO 2024 final tournament is scheduled to take place from June 14 to July 14, 2024. As the host country, Germany is seeded in Group A. The opening match will be on Friday, June 14 at 9 p.m. and will face to the host and to Scotland.

The format will be the same as for UEFA EURO 2020. The top two from each of the six groups in the final tournament will advance to the round of 16 along with the four best third-place finishers.

For its part, Spain, included in Group B along with Croatia, Italy and Albania, will begin its journey in the championship on Saturday, June 15 at 6 p.m. in a match that will face Croatia, with the aspiration of conquering again the title, as he did in 1964, 2008 and 2012.

On the reverse of the coin, in the central area, the image of a soccer player kicking a soccer ball is reproduced; to the right of it, the face value of the piece 10 EURO; To the left of it, the Mint mark. At the top of the coin appears the logo of the tournament that will be held in Germany. Surrounding the central area in its two thirds, a representative detail of the roof and stands of a football stadium is reproduced in color.

 

On the obverse of the coin the portrait on the left of His Majesty King Felipe VI is reproduced. At the top, in a circular direction and in capital letters, the legend FELIPE VI KING OF SPAIN appears. At the bottom, between two points, the year of minting 2024. A pearl graphic surrounds the motifs and legends.
