The philatelic-numismatic envelope 2023, popularly known as Busta, with the 2 euro commemorative coin for the 150th anniversary of the death of Alejandro Manzoni, is officially issued on December 29. In addition to the coin it contains the special seal dedicated to Manzoni.

An exclusive philatelic card with a reproduction of the stamp is inserted in the envelope; The emblem of the Office made in complete relief enriches this prestigious and precious product.

 

The 2 euro coin, designed by artist Gabriella Titotto, shows the writer's face in the center with his signature below; On the right, behind the inkwell and the pen, is the incipit (a set of words that appear at the beginning of a piece of writing) of the famous historical novel “I Promessi Sposi” (The Bride and Groom). On the left, the laurel branch testifies to the immortal fame of the great writer. At the top, from left to right, in a semicircle, there is the inscription "CITTÀ DEL VATICANO". At the bottom, there is the inscription “Alessandro Manzoni” and, below it, the dates “1873◦2023”. On the left is the “R” mintmark.
