The last coin issued by Ukraine, yesterday, September 5, follows the line of most of those that have been issued during the Russian invasion of its territory. With these coins, the aim is to especially recognize its Armed Forces that fight tirelessly for liberation Complete of your country.
This new piece is dedicated to Ukraine's military intelligence, a component of its army that protects national interests. The official date of creation of Ukraine's military intelligence is September 7, 1992 and in these turbulent times it plays a fundamental role in the defense of the country.
The obverse of the coin presents: in the center, on a matte background, the emblem of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, on the left - the small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine; on the right, the denomination 5 and the graphic symbol of the grivna; inscriptions: UKRAINE (semicircle above), 2023/MAIN INTELLIGENCE DEPARTMENT (below); logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine (to the left of the emblem).
On the reverse of the coin are: inscriptions in a circle: MILITARY INTELLIGENCE OF UKRAINE and the motto of military intelligence in Latin SAPIENS DOMINABITUR ASTRIS ("The wise will rule over the stars"); in the center there is a stylized composition: against the background of the surface of the globe an owl is depicted holding a sword (on its hilt there is a small state coat of arms of Ukraine) cutting through the contours of the territory of the aggressor country.
