The Central Bank of Malta has issued what will be its last coin in 2022, in which it celebrates the centenary of the first performance of its national anthem, the 'Innu Malti'. This collector's coin has a face of 10 euros, is minted in 925 purity silver and its circulation is limited to 1,500 pieces.
The coin was designed and engraved by Noel Galea Bason and minted at the Royal Dutch Mint (Netherlands). The obverse of the coin features the Maltese coat of arms.
The reverse shows a portrait of Dun Karm Psaila, author of 'Innu Malti', and a portrait of Professor Robert Samut, composer of the music for 'Innu Malti'.
