The Bank of Ukraine issues on July 14 the first coin of a new series dedicated to the different bodies that make up the Armed Forces of Ukraine. To inaugurate the series, the Navy has been chosen, which will be followed a few days later, on July 27, by another dedicated to the Special Operations Forces.

They will be coins with facets of 10 hryvnias minted on a zinc alloy, although the final price is not yet known, they will be very cheap and suitable for any type of collector.

The Ukrainian Navy

The Ukrainian Navy was designed to deter or repel, in cooperation with other bodies of the Armed Forces and military formations, aggression against its territory from the sea that endangers its sovereignty.

 

The obverse of the coin shows in the center, the emblem of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the lower left, the Coat of Arms of the State of Ukraine, in the lower right, the facial, 10 hryvnias; inscriptions: MILITARY AND NAVAL FORCES OF THE ARMED FORCES OF UKRAINE (in a semicircle at the top), 2022/UKRAINE (at the bottom); mark of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine (to the right of the facial).

 

On the reverse of the coin, on a background of stylized waves, various types of ships are depicted as a symbol of the Navy, which, in addition to surface forces, also includes naval aviation, marine infantry, coastal artillery and other components; above, on a map with the maritime borders of southern Ukraine, the inscriptions: LOYALTY, COURAGE, STRENGTH.
