Since 2015, the United States Mint has issued a series of coins called "American Liberty" in which an allegorical representation of the concept of American Liberty is made. Since its inception more than 225 years ago, the United States Mint has issued a wide range of coins with the concept of Liberty personified by allegorical female figures. The 2021 American Liberty Coins offer a different interpretation: a bold and impressive representation of the determination and power of the passion for freedom of Americans.
The 2021 Proof High Relief American Liberty Gold Coin is minted from 24 karat gold. The obverse features an American Wild Horse Mustang, shedding its Western-style saddle, evoking the shedding of the yoke of British rule during the American Revolution. The horse is shown against the background of a rising sun. The inscriptions are "LIBERTY" (Freedom), "IN GOD WE TRUST" (In God we trust) and the year of issue "2021".
The reverse features a close-up of an eagle. The inscriptions are: "E PLURIBUS UNUM" (Of many, one), "1 OZ" (1 ounce), ".9999 FINE GOLD" (gold of .9999 purity), "$ 100" (face value of $ 100) and on behalf of the issuing country "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA".
Each coin is exquisitely crafted and hand packed in a black presentation box with a sleeve and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. The 2021 American Liberty High Relief Gold Coin is highly prized by collectors around the world.
