The issuance and putting on sale for next March 15 of the portfolio or euroset with all the values of circulating Spanish euro coins with mintage date 2021 is announced. This issuance includes the series of Spanish euro coins of the year 2021, presented in limited edition in a practical numbered blister that protects the coins and, at the same time, allows the perfect display of both sides of the same.
This year the design of the portfolio is dedicated to the same motif as the commemorative 2 euro coin, which within the World Heritage series is dedicated to the Historic City of Toledo, known as the "city of three cultures" because it preserves extraordinary testimonies of different civilizations that have already disappeared over the course of two millennia. Toledo was successively a Roman municipality, Visigothic capital, it was part of the Emirate of Córdoba, a determining place in the Christian Reconquest and temporary seat of the court during the reign of Carlos V. Its current appearance is due to the superposition of all these influences and the coexistence of three great cultures: Jewish, Islamic and Christian.
The maximum circulation of the euroset with coins dated 2021 is 12,000 units.
The recommended sale price is € 26 including VAT.
The commemorative 2-euro coin represents a view of the Puerta del Sol and a detail of the Tránsito Synagogue, both buildings built in the 14th century in Mudejar style. On the left, in capital letters, the word "SPAIN" and the year of issue "2021". At the top right, the mint mark.
The inscriptions on the edge of the coin are the same as on the regular Spanish 2-euro circulation coins. ("2 ★ ★" repeated six times and alternately oriented from bottom to top and top to bottom.)
