To end the series of coins dedicated to the most illustrious figures of Portuguese architecture, both nationally and internationally, the INCM will issue on December 2 a coin dedicated to Gonçalo Byrne, one of the most prestigious Portuguese architects, author of a vast work that has already been awarded several times at national and international level, with special relevance in heritage and cultural works.
On this coin, created by the sculptor Eloísa Byrne, appears the representation of the Maritime Traffic Control Tower of the Port of Lisbon, an award-winning project and one of the most emblematic of the work of the architect Gonçalo Byrne. The legends are: "Architect Gonçalo Byrne", "2020", "Casa da Moeda" and the name of the author.
The obverse shows the coat of arms of Portugal, the face value "7.5 EURO" and the name of the issuing country "PORTUGAL".
The face of the coin is 7.5 euros, it has two versions with the same design, one minted in silver of 500 that can be purchased at its face value in Portugal, and the other in a Proof finish and composed of 925 silver. at a price that will be around € 55.
