Making a play on the words in the title of this entry serves to show you the commemorative 2-euro coin that will be issued in 2020 by Malta, in which what is represented in it are neither more nor less than Children's Games, games that are recognizable in any country. Until now we only knew the sketch of this coin that will be issued under the name of "Games" and completes the series "Children and Solidarity", today I show you the image of what a real coin will be.
The design, created by Ymen Riahi a Maltese student at Rabat Middle School St. Nicholas College, represents different traditional games than those played in Malta. At the top appears the name of the issuing State, "MALTA", at the bottom the year of issue "2020". The twelve stars of the European flag appear on the circular crown of the coin.
The announced print run is 220,000 pieces. 200,000 will be issued in rolls and 20,000 in coincard, the latter have the mintmark of the Monnaie de Paris where they have all been minted. The expected issue date is established during the month of October.

Series of 2 euro coins commemorating "Children and Solidarity"
The Central Bank of Malta together with the charity The Malta Community Chest Fund started in 2016 a program for the issuance of commemorative 2 euro coins that has been extended between 2016 and 2020, under the name «Children and Solidarity» all designs in the series have been made by high school students in the country.
