175 years ago, during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, the Duke of Smoked created the Civil Guard. The National Coin and Doorbell Factory - Real Casa de la Moneda, commemorating this historic event, issues on September 23 a silver coin with a face of 10 euros, with a metric of 8 reais, as a way of homage to the benemérita for its anniversary.
On the reverse, at the top of the coin, in the center and inside an oval, a detail of the portrait of the II Duke of Ahumada, Francisco Javier Girón and Ezpeleta de las Casas Enrile, founder of the Civil Guard, is reproduced by Vicente López Portaña, which is preserved in the Army Museum, in Toledo; underneath, in circular and capital letters, the legend DUQUE DE AHUMADA. In the lower part of the coin, in the center, in two lines and in capital letters, the value of the piece 10 EURO; on both sides, the Civil Guard emblems in colors and, on the right, the Ceca brand. On the left side of the coin, in ascending circular direction and in capital letters, the legend 175 ANNIVERSARY; in the right part, in descending circular direction and in capital letters, the legend CIVIL GUARD.
On the obverse, the portrait to the left of His Majesty King Don Felipe VI is reproduced, showing distinctive Captain General. At the top, in a circular and uppercase direction, the legend FELIPE VI KING OF SPAIN appears. At the bottom, between two points, the year of minting 2019.
