One of the few 2 Euro commemorative coins of 2019 that we still did not know about its design, until today that I show you, is the second in Malta this year. Belonging to the series that began airing in 2016 and will end in 2020, under the name of "Children and Solidarity," this year has as its theme "Nature and Environment." All the designs in the series have come out of a contest among Maltese high school students.
The design created by a school boy, who at the moment has not transcended the name, counts as a central motif with a beautiful tree illuminated by the rays of a radiant sun. The name of the issuing State «Malta» and the year of issuance «2019» are shown below the silhouette of the tree. Complete the composition, as usual, the twelve stars of the European flag shown in the circular crown of the coin.
The expected date of issue for this currency is during the month of October this year, the circulation is 320,000 pieces. 300,000 will be issued in rolls and 20,000 in coincard with the mint mark of the Monnaie de Paris.

Today I can show you the drawing that has won the contest to be represented in the last coin of the series that is issued in 2020, drawing that I found by chance on the Internet.
Yesterday, once the image of the 2019 coin was received from friend Michael, I started searching the net if there was any additional information about this issue, and I found that on the school's Facebook page « Rabat Middle School St Nicholas College » already have the winning sketch for the 2020 coin, the work of Ymen riahi, a student of that school. The currency that will complete the series will be issued under the name "Games." The circumstance is that the 2018 coin of this series was also designed by a student of the same educational center, Nichole Dimech.

What you see is the original drawing for the currency that will undergo some slight modifications, such as, for example, the name of the issuing country. The reasons represented are quite clear, these are games that children usually play, although today I think it would not hurt to add any electronic device such as a console, or a mobile phone.
