Yesterday, May 20, two new San Marino coins were issued and put on sale, with the added value that behind these two pieces is the Austrian Mint, which guarantees high quality products, both in their design as in his coinage.
The coins are dedicated to the «50th anniversary of the arrival of man on the Moon», and to the «350th anniversary of the death of Rembrandt». The first one, designed on its back by Herbert Waehner (Austrian Mint), has a 5 euro facial and has been minted in Proof quality. The second, with facial of 10 euros, is the work of Helmut Andexlinger (Austrian Mint), and is also in Proof quality.

50th anniversary of the arrival of man on the Moon
The coin celebrates the historical fact of the arrival of the first human being to the Moon on July 20, 1969. The design of the coin shows an astronaut on the left, with the reflection of the lunar surface and the planet Earth in the visor of his space suit. The coin is completed with the lunar surface in the background, the face value, 5 euros, and the legend «1969-2019 PRIMO UOMO SULLA LUNA».
350th anniversary of Rembrandt's death
The coin commemorates Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn, considered one of the greatest painters in the history of European art and the most important in Holland. The composition in the coin reproduces a detail of his painting "Self-portrait of young person": the work, done with a quick and safe technique, is characterized by its great immediacy and its deep psychological introspection.
Common obverse
The common obverse of both coins is the work of Antonella Napolione, in which the shield of San Marino appears in the center surrounded by the name of the country. In the lower part is the name of the artist.
