The second coin of the series dedicated to the "825th Anniversary of the Vienna Mint" has been issued. The three coins that make up the series are linked to the ransom paid to Duke Leopold of Austria for the release of King Richard Lionheart from England in 1194. This piece is also composed of an ounce of fine silver, the same precious metal used to pay the enormous rescue, used in part to build the fortress of Wiener Neustadt, subject of the second coin of this very special series.

Unlike most other cities, Wiener Neustadt did not develop gradually over time, but was founded and built for strategic reasons in arid lands on the eastern edge of the Austrian Alps, south of Vienna. A fortified city, it was designed to help secure the duchies of Austria and Styria from the Kingdom of Hungary.

The reverse of the coin shows an image of the fortified city of Wiener Neustadt.

On the obverse common to all the coins of the series figure Leopoldo V on horseback, based on his own personal stamp. The name of the issuing country "Republic of Austria", the year of issue "2019", the face value 1.5o euros "and the composition of the piece" 1 ounce of silver ", complete the field.
