When family or friends gather for a joyful event, small sweets and money are thrown to be picked up by the children. This is a Kazakh ritual called Shasu, which is believed to attract good luck. To this rite, the Shasu, is dedicated the 100 Tenge currency issued on December 13 by the Bank of Kazakhstan. The coin belongs to the series "National Rites and Games of Kazakhstan".

The coin represents the image that is produced during the rite of Shasu, the name of this in Kazakh language, the year of issue and coinage "2017" appears at the top. On the left is the mint mark of the Kazakh Currency House.

The obverse, which we see on the left, shows the face common to all coins in this series with the coat of arms of Kazakhstan and decorative ornamental figures. On the left and right "Republic of Kazakhstan" in Russian on one side and in Kazakh on the other, and the face value of the coin, 100 tenge.

Characteristics of the currency
Designation: 100 tenge
Metal: Nickel plated
Weight: 11.17 g
Diameter: 31.0 mm
Circulation: 10.000

This is the twelfth coin in the series, which started with 50 tenge facials and now has gone to 100 tenge.

What is a real problem, for those who were collecting this type of currency, is the drastic reduction in its volume of emission, going from the usual 100,000 pieces to the 10,000 recently minted.

On the left you can see how the coin is presented.

Here you can see the coins that make up this series, for now.
