This week, the second 2-euro French commemorative coin dedicated to the "25th Anniversary of the Pink Ribbon", symbol of the fight against breast cancer, has been put on the market. The coin comes in three forms: in the typical rolls or cartridges of 25 coins, in a purse type blister in BU quality and in a case with the piece in Proof quality. In these last two the tie is colored. 

It should be noted that of the coins sold in BU and Proof, the Monnaie de Paris will donate two euros each to support this cause born in France in 1992 by Alexandra Penney and Evelyn Lauder, both linked to publications and magazines aimed at the female audience. 

The motif represents the bust of a woman symbolically protected by a hand and the lasso. Around it, on the right, the legend "25e ANNIVERSAIRE DU RUBAN ROSE" (25th anniversary of the pink ribbon). On the right side are also the years 1992-2017, the indication of the issuing country, 'RF', and mint markings.

The emission volume for this piece is 10 million, of which 10,000 units have been issued in BU quality and 10,000 in Proof quality. The recommended retail price is 10 and 20 euros respectively.
