The Bank of Kazakhstan continues with the issuance of the series of coins called "Folk Tales of Kazakhstan" with a new piece issued yesterday 11 October, dedicated to the tale of brothers Grimm "The musicians of Bremen", apparently this author's tale German is also very popular in the country.
The reverse of the coin shows the four protagonists of the story: a donkey, a dog, a cat and a rooster, in an image that represents a passage of the story, in which some are placed on top of others in front of some wooden huts which are also shown in the composition. The name of the story is written both in Kazakh and in German. It also shows the year of coinage and the mint mark.
The obverse, which we see on the left, shows the face common to all coins in this series with Kazakhstan's coat of arms, decorative ornamental figures. To the left and right "Republic of Kazakhstan" in Russian on one side and Kazakh on the other, and the face value of the coin, 100 tenge.
This is the seventh coin of the series, which began with facials of 50 tenge and from the previous one has passed to 100 tenge. What is a real problem is the drastic reduction in its volume of emission, going from the 100,000 usual pieces to the 10,000 coinage of the latter, in its base version. We can also find it in silver with proof and facial finish of 500 tenge, with a ridiculous roll of only 500 pieces. Returning to the 100 tenge coin, now comes in a wallet or blister, which makes it even more expensive. Buying one of the previous coins of this series came out for 2 to 3 euros, at most, now the prices are around 20.
