The second German currency of 5 euros, from the series Climatic Zones, in which the polymer is used as part of it, dedicated to the Subtropical Zone and corresponding to 2018, already has a design that we can see. Design that was unveiled this week by the German Ministry of Finance.
This will be the second of the five that make up the series and that are issued between the years 2017 to 2021 (one per year). The 2018 will feature the plastic ring and translucent in orange, in addition each of the five German wreaths will give a different tonality to that color.
The design corresponds to the artist Patrick Niesel on his back. The obverse, common to the whole series, was designed by the artist Stefanie Radtke.
The reverse side tries to show a winter image of the humid subtropical zones with Mediterranean climate, representing the typical flora and fauna of this climatic zone, as the domestic goats on bushes, an umbrella tree of those that prevail in the area and the sea To the bottom represented by a straight line over the horizon.
The obverse shows an eagle, the word "Federal Republic of Germany", the face value "5 euro", the year 2018, the twelve European stars and, depending on the mint, the Mint brand "A" (Berlin), "D" (Munich), "F" (Stuttgart), "G" (Karlsruhe) or "J" (Hamburg).
The smooth edge of the coin contains the inscription, in German, "climatic zones of the earth".
