Ukraine will be part of the Security Council of the UN as a non-permanent member from January 1, 2016, for a period of two years, until the end of 2017. Dedicated to this reason, the Bank of Ukraine issued on 7 September a coin with facial of 5 Hryven, coined on an alloy of nickel silver.
Obverse: on top of the shield of the State of Ukraine and the inscription Ukraine, to the right the face value of the coin, shown in May Hryven, left the year of issue, 2016 and the logo of the National Bank of Ukraine. A ribbon of yellow and blue is shown on the globe, crowned with a branch of viburnum.
Reverse: the emblem of the United Nations shown, around which legends: Transformation of joint efforts for peace, security and prosperity. In the outer ring reads: Ukraine - non-permanent member of the Security Council, 2016-2017.
