The Bank of Ukraine today issued August 30 a coin with facial of 5 Hryven, coined on an alloy of nickel silver, dedicated to the City of Vyshgorod, belonging to the series Ancient Cities of Ukraine.
Obverse: on top of the shield of the State of Ukraine and the inscription shows Ukraine; in the center on dark background, princes Boris and Gleb - the first saints canonized by the Orthodox princes, as martyrs appear on an ornamental figure; inscriptions: BORIS (left), Hleb (right); at the bottom the inscriptions - 5 hryvnia, the year of issue 2016 and the logo of the National Bank of Ukraine (right).
On the reverse of the coin in the colored part of a fragment of one of the oldest and best known icons Our Lady of Vladimir shown; left a stylized composition shows the Duke Trykupolnoyi with his wife leaving the church shown at the bottom, below the inscriptions: Old Vyshgorod / 946.
