While the American Silver Eagle, for example, was minted in 2015 with an astonishing 47.3 million coins, the Mexican Silver Libertad’s bullion coin has mintage figures that rarely surpass one million coins in total. On the obverse of the coin is the image of Winged Victory, a symbol of freedom and justice during the Mexican Revolution against Spanish colonial rule. The 2016 1 oz Mexican Silver Libertad coin features the official seal for the coat of arms of Mexico on the reverse. This image is surrounded by 10 smaller versions of the seal that have been used by the government throughout the past 190 years.
