"Design a coin: The Sea"
As part of a collaborative project with the municipality of Aveiro, aiming to stimulate artistic and numismatic creation among young people and the school community, the Portuguese Mint has released a coin designed by young Ísis Martins, who decided that her coin should evoke the drama experienced by refugees aboard fragile and overcrowded boats and proclaim, with the natural optimism of a 12-years-old person, that the sea can also save.
