The tenth coin of the series "Wildlife in cultural monuments of Ukraine" dedicated to the Sheep was issued on March 14 by the Bank of Ukraine. This piece and all of the series have facials of 5 grivnas and are minted in 925 sterling silver.

On the obverse of this piece, and of all of the series, it represents in gold a monument, piece or historical engraving dedicated to the animal in question, always located or discovered in Ukraine. On the back we see a characteristic image of the animal.

Sheep

Dedicated to the ram, whose image is embodied in cultural monuments from different eras, created thanks to the talent and work of many thousands of nameless teachers. During the centuries of modern Ukraine, tribes and peoples created culture, inherited by later generations. The beliefs and religions showed a respectful attitude of people towards nature, in particular towards animals.

On the obverse of the coin is: the state emblem of Ukraine, to the right of which is the inscription UKRAINE, under it the nominal value 5 UAH and the year of issuance of the 2019 currency; in the center there is a golden image of a metallic relief representing the head of a ram (north coast of the Black Sea), to the right of which are archaeological monuments of Sarmatian culture: two ceramic vessels in the form of rams found in a tomb located in the cemetery of Neizats, which is located in the Crimea.

On the back of the coin, on the left the head of a ram is represented, on the right of which appears the vertical inscription Баран (Sheep) and an image of the ceramic sheep opshnya (Poltava region).
