Piesa zilei: Cap de statuetă antropomorfă feminină (?). Descoperit în anul 1974 la Ștefănești-Stârcea/La Bulboană de către Paul Șadurschi și Anton Nițu. Piesa se încadrează în cultura Cucuteni, faza B.
Statuetă de la care s-a păstrat doar capul (fragmentar) şi o mică parte din gât. Poziţie (probabil) verticală. Ardere oxidantă, culoare cărămizie. Suprafața piesei este netezită foarte bine, cu urme de şlefuire cu o unealtă, pe partea dorsală. Capul are forma relativ ovală, este stilizat, realizat prin presare din două părţi, formând doi lobi separaţi de o nervură mediană pronunţată, ce reprezintă nasul. Gura este marcată prin incizie foarte scurtă, imediat sub nas. O altă incizie, sub cea a gurii ar putea sugera barba. Ochii nu sunt marcaţi. Urechea stângă este aşezată anatomic, ca un lob semicircular şi prezintă un şir de nouă perforaţii, dintre care unele nu străbat toată piesa. Sub ureche se observă netezire cu unealtă, posibil din lemn. Gâtul are formă relativ rectangulară şi vine direct în prelungirea capului. Partea dorsală este relativ plată, cu o foarte uşoară bombare în partea mediană. Deasupra capului piesa prezintă un disc semicircular, aplatizat. Demarcarea între disc şi lobul urechii a fost făcută cu un beţişor. Capul provine de la o statuetă probabil fusiformă de mari dimensiuni. Dimensiuni: Înălțimea păstrată= 75 mm; Grosime faţă=26 mm; Lungime disc: 44 mm. Nr. inv. MJB. 18580.

Head of a feminine anthropomorphic statuette (?). Found in 1974 at Ștefănești-Stârcea/La Bulboană by Paul Șadurschi and Anton Nițu. The object belongs to Cucuteni Culture, B phase.
Statuette from which only the head (fragmentary) and a small part of the neck were preserved. Position (probably) vertical. Oxidizing burning, brick color. The surface of the artifact is very smooth, with polishing traces made with a tool on the back. The head has a relatively oval shape, it is stylized, made by pressing from the sides, forming two lobes separated by a pronounced median ridge, representing the nose. The mouth is marked by a very short incision immediately below the nose. Another incision, below that of the mouth, could suggest the beard. The eyes are not marked. The left ear is anatomically placed, shaped like a semicircular lobe, and it has a string of nine perforations, some of which do not pierce the artifact completely. Beneath the ear there are traces of polishing with a tool, possibly made of wood. The neck has a relatively rectangular shape and it is a direct extension of the head. The dorsal part is relatively flat, with a very slight bulge in the medial part. Above the head, the artifact features a flat, semi-circular disc. The demarcation between the disc and the ear lobe was made with a stick. The head comes from a statuette that is probably spindle-shaped and large in size. Dimensions: Preserved height = 75 mm; Thickness of the face = 26 mm; Disc length: 44 mm.
