The Bank of Luxembourg prepares to get a good money to collectors of commemorative 2 euro coins. The idea is not new, Malta is already using it and it is as simple as including different brands of mint for the same currency. It seems that Luxembourg also joins the party and may for the currency dedicated to the '150th Anniversary of the Constitution of Luxembourg' have up to three variants for the same currency, two already confirmed and a third pending to know, this would correspond to the currency in Proof quality, which according to comments will have some change with respect to the previous two.

The two variants already confirmed are the ones you see above. The one on the left is present in the bags with five complete series of Luxembourg 2018 coins, already on sale, and in the rolls that are issued in July. The one on the right corresponds to the one issued in the coincard, also put on sale now.

It is commented that the Proof version of the currency also has a variant that makes it different from the previous ones. It seems that it would represent the two mint marks inside the central ring, in different positions, although there are still no images.

The lion
shown as a mint mark on the coin corresponds to a new distinctive mark of Luxembourg, the bridge
corresponds to the mint mark of the mint (Utrecht -KNM) and the mark shown on the ring
is the one so far usual in Luxembourg currencies.

Recall that the circulation for this coin is 300,000 pieces, of which 7,500 are in coincard, with their corresponding mint marks. We do not know, at least me, how many will come out in Proof quality, with the combination of mint marks that we have yet to know. Therefore the rest, those of bags and rolls, will be by far the most common mint marks in this currency.
