New Isle of Man Coins Plus APMEXclusive Set

APMEX, a leading online Precious Metals retailer based in Oklahoma City, is thrilled to introduce the latest in two popular lines from the Isle of Man, offering options in both Silver and Gold. Mintages are extremely limited and certain coins are only available in APMEXclusive® two-coin sets.

These latest releases see new changes that will add collectible interest to these long-standing series. Each 2017 1 oz Reverse Proof Silver coin offers an exceptional low mintage of just 5,000 coins. The 2016 Silver Angel had a mintage of 100,000 coins and, in fact, the Silver Noble has not been released since 2011. Additionally, the 1 oz Gold Angel and 1 oz Gold Noble each have an extremely low mintage of just 100 coins.

Both the Silver Angel and Silver Noble coins are also available exclusively at APMEX in a two-coin set. Each set includes the Reverse Proof Silver and Proof Silver versions of the specified design and comes in a wooden presentation box with certificate of authenticity. The Proof Silver Angel and Proof Silver Noble coins are only available in these sets, which each have a mintage of just 500.

“The Isle of Man has a storied history and their Gold and Silver bullion coins feature designs that truly stand the test of time,” APMEX Director of Merchandising Ryan Boylessaid. “As a company with a long history ourselves, we are pleased to offer these Isle of Man coins to our customers. Having the North American exclusive on the two-coin sets, which include the special Proof Silver coins, allows us to provide unique opportunities our customers cannot find elsewhere.”

Isle of Man Angel coins, first issued in Gold in 1984 followed by Silver in 1995, feature the timeless depiction of St. Michael slaying a dragon, an image portrayed in one way or another since the fourth century.

The Noble coins tell a similar history. These modern versions first appeared in 1983 in Platinum, but the name Noble was first given to coins introduced by King Edward III in 1344. Gold and Silver Noble coins depict a Viking longboat sailing the open seas, tying back to the history of the Isle of Man itself.

From 1/2 gram of Gold up to 2 oz of Silver, and two unique APMEXclusive® sets, any investor or collector is sure to find the Isle of Man coin for them. Shop all 2017 Angels and Nobles available now at APMEX.

Trident Series Continues with Gold Release

APMEX is pleased to announce the continuation of the Trident Series launched by the Scottsdale Mint late last year.

Originally, the mint released a 1 oz Silver coin, but APMEX now offers a 1 oz Gold coin with the same exquisite design and quality craftsmanship. This first design features two images strongly connected with Barbados, the issuing country of the series.

Both the Gold and Silver coin focus on the trident, a symbol of strength and power drawing its roots from various world cultures, including the Roman god Neptune. However, the trident found on the national flag of Barbados differs slightly from the typical Neptune symbol, as the shaft is broken, symbolizing Barbados’ independence from the United Kingdom in 1966.

The obverse of this first release displays the Barbados coat of arms, which includes a variety of important symbols such as sugar cane stalks, the Barbados national flowers and representations of the fishing industry.

The newest coin, containing .999 fine Gold, comes in a protective plastic capsule. The first release also comes in a plastic capsule and contains .999 fine Silver. Any collector or investor will find this series appealing, no matter the metal type.
