Noi monede comemorative finlandeze - 22.07.2017

Suomen Rahapaja, the Finnish Mint, has presented the seventh and eighth bimetallic 5 euro coin of the series dedicated to Presidents of Finland, thus finalizing the series. The protagonists are Juho Kusti Paasikivi who occupied the presidency between 1946 to 1956 and Urho Kaleva Kekkonen that occupied it between 1956 to 1981.

The issue of both currencies is scheduled for next August 14. This and all of the series, designed by Tero Lounas, can be purchased in qualities BU and Proof. The series consists of eight pieces that have been issued between 2016 and 2017.

Juho Kusti Paasikivi


The obverse of the coin counts on the portrait of the president Juho Kusti Paasikivi, its name and the years in which it lived 1870-1956.
Urho Kaleva Kekkonen


The obverse of the coin features the portrait of the president Urho Kaleva Kekkonen, his name and the years in which he lived 1900-1986.
Common Reverse


On the back, common to the whole series, appears a landscape of Finnish fields, framing an open book representing a built urban environment.

The series was programmed to pay homage to the deceased presidents, although it happens that during the emission of this died the one that occupied the presidency in ninth place, Mauno Koivisto (1982 -1994), passed away the past 12 of May to the 93 years. So it is not ruled out that the series is expanded.
