Another of the images we have just seen is the one presented by the Bank of Slovakia for its 2-euro commemorative coin of 2018 dedicated to the "25th Anniversary of the Slovak Republic". The design of the coin corresponds to Pavel Károly, and is the result of slight modifications to a sketch presented for the design competition called for a silver collectible coin by this artist, under the same theme.

Original design of the coin of collection on which the one of 2 euros is based.

The design consists of an arch that symbolizes the gateway to Europe in which they appear across the territory of Slovakia and its shield, thus expressing the country's integration into the European Union . Membership of the eurozone is represented by the euro symbol and stars of the European flag. Also appears the name of the country "SLOVENSKÁ REPUBLIKA", the date of its separation of the Czech Republic "1.1.1993" and the year of emission and in which the 25 anniversary is fulfilled like independent nation "2018".

The issue date is expected in January 2018. The volume of emission has not been announced, but it will surely be 1 million pieces, which has been emitting Slovakia in recent years.

Their separation in 1993 from the more prosperous and industrialized Czech Republic was prompted by Slovak nationalism and the unrest caused by the economic reforms established by the Czechoslovak government in Prague, reforms that left many Slovaks out of work. Since 1 May 2004 it has been a Member State of the European Union. It adopted the euro on January 1, 2009.
