O nouă monedă comemorativă din Panama - 21.08.2016

A new currency balboa middle of "Historical Monuments of Panama Viejo" dedicated to the "Church and Convent of the Society of Jesus" series has been put into circulation this week in Panama.

In 2019 are fulfilled 500 years of the construction of the first Hispanic city on the Pacific coast of the Americas. From 2003 to 2019 a series of allusive circulating coins will be issued at this event.






This piece has been authorized minting coins 3 million. These represent an element of historical memory of the buildings and periods played a key role in Panama La Vieja, same that was declared by the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and Historical Heritage humanity in 2003.

The obverse shows, in outline, on top of the coin, the inscriptions "Society of Jesus" and "Panama Viejo" in the center part of the ruins of the Church is and Convent of the Society of Jesus Panama Viejo, while at the bottom the year appears in figures "2016".

On the reverse side of the coin, is the shield of the Republic of Panama; in the upper contour the phrase "Republic of Panama" is read, and the bottom contour the value of the currency in letters reads: "Half balboa".
