Coinciding with the bicentennial of the creation of the Bank of Norway, on June 14 went into circulation a coin of 20 kroner (crowns) allusive to that event. Norges Bank aims, such as Central Bank of the country, promote economic stability, with executive responsibilities and advice on monetary policy and promoting robust systems and efficient financial markets payment. It also manages the country's foreign exchange reserves and the Pension Fund.
The design of the coin, born of a design competition, is by Kjersti M. Austdal, student of Fine Arts of the National Academy of Oslo, his winning design called "Pulse of Norway" has been used on the reverse of the coin.
The obverse of the coin shows King Harald V of Norway on a portrait in profile facing right. Around the portrait: HARALD V ∙ KING OF NORWAY. To the left of the portrait, to the neck, signing Ingrid Rise Austilid recorder appears the mint of Norway. the year of issue and the mint mark appears at the bottom.
The reverse is a stylized graphic example of inflation and deflation in Norway through the years, the nominal value (20 KR) appears in the upper right. The text "Bank of Norway 200 years" divided into two lines, is located bottom right. the artist's signature (KA) is in the lower left.
